芭比之钻石城堡丽安娜和爱丽莎是一对挚友，她们靠卖花为生，虽然过着贫穷的日子但还是很快乐。可是，一天狂风暴雨降临，将她们的花园毁于一旦。她们外出卖花时，看到了一位饥饿的老婆婆，丽安娜就把唯一的面包加果酱给了她。老婆婆非常高兴，出于感谢，就让她们在自己的篮子里选一样东西，丽安娜选了一面破旧的铜镜。回到家后，当她们清洗镜子并唱歌时，神奇的事情发生了！一个叫美乐蒂的女孩出现在镜子的表面。美乐蒂告诉了她们钻石城堡的秘密。美乐蒂解释说，钻石城堡是所有音乐诞生的地方，三个音乐缪斯永久居住的地方。直到一个邪恶的缪斯露迪亚，企图将钻石城堡据为己有，于是她便制造了一个能迷惑人心的魔法长笛，另外两个缪斯将钻石城堡的钥匙托付给了美洛蒂来保管，之后，俩个缪斯被露迪亚变成了石像。美乐蒂为了保护钥匙的安全，把自己藏进镜子里。但现在她出不去了。她需要丽安娜和爱丽莎的帮助把她从镜子里放出来，然后去解救钻石城堡。于是两个女孩开始了旅程——离开家很远的旅程。在路上，她们结识了新的朋友和敌人，虽然她们遇到种种困难，但都没有放弃，最后，露迪亚得到了应有的惩罚，钻石城堡的一切都恢复了原样。

The two girls begin a journey that will take them far away from their homes. Along their way they make new friends-and foes. But will the power of friendship prevail?
