落跑的新娘落跑的新娘(5)艾克是纽约时报的专栏记者，他因为经历过破裂的婚姻，因此对女人有点感冒而显得尖酸刻薄，而他经常为了截稿时间焦头烂额，更让他沮丧的是他的顶头上司就是他的前妻。为了逃避压力，他只好躲进他常去的酒吧里，当他听到有人讨论马里兰州的一个乡下地方，有个年轻女人玛琪，她曾经有三次和准新郎踏上紅地毯的另一端时，又因为婚姻恐惧症而逃婚的记录。这立刻引起艾克兴趣，决定将这个话题写成专栏，并加以冷嘲热讽了一番。之后他想要印证自己的报道正确无误，于是决定亲自拜访这个小镇，没想到小镇居民却对他的报道大表反感，而正准备与第四任男友步入结婚礼堂的玛琪，更因为这篇报道大感难堪，于是又再度逃婚，并且决定以其人之道还治其人之身，对艾克展开报复行动。双方就在你来我往的情況下，有了更深刻的了解并慢慢互相吸引，但是他们要如何化解前嫌，并且克服各自的心理障碍？^[2]
