SHARK有64位元区块大小与128位元密钥长度。它是个6循环SP网络,利用线性与非线性转换层轮换密钥混合阶段。线性转换使用MDS矩阵代表Reed-Solomon错误纠正代码以保证适度散乱。非线性层是以8个来自函数F(x) = x于GF(2)(有限域2的8次方)的8×8位元S-box组成。
