1993年7月毕业于浙江丝绸工学院。
1993年9月-1999年9月历任浙江农业大学和浙江大学助教、讲师。
1999年10月-2003年3月,受日本政府资助在东京农工大学工学部生命工学科攻读博士课程,获工学博士学位。
2003年4月-2004年3月任东京农工大学VBL(Venture Business Laboratory)实验室博士后。
2004年4月回国,任浙江理工大学副教授。
2006年11月破格晋升为教授。
2020年8月5日,任宁波大学副校长、党委委员。[2]
2022年3月31日,任宁波海洋研究院院长。[1]
主持包括三项国家自然科学基金和一项浙江省自然科学基金青年人才培养项目在内项目近十项。主要研究方向:生物高分子(蛋白质、纤维素)材料的功能化利用。已发表学术论文50余篇,其中SCI收录30余篇。获2007年度浙江省科学技术二等奖一项(第一完成人)。
