2000年在日本鸟取大学分子工学专业获博士学位;
2000-2001年在日本农林水产省农业生物资源研究所从事博士后研究;
2001-2006年任日本北海道大学理学部生物高分子讲座特聘研究员;
现任中国科学院微生物研究所研究员。
致力于糖链合成方法学研究和以糖链合成为基础的病原微生物抑制药物及病原微生物快速检测新方法的开发。
通过有机化学、生物化学等方法从事糖(包括寡糖、多糖和糖复合物)工程方面的研究和开发。具体包括:1、糖链合成方法学研究:集传统的有机合成(固相合成)与酶促合成之长,探索以生物/化学组合法为特征的高效糖链合成新技术。2、醣类药物和医用材料开发:分析流感病毒、志贺毒素、大肠埃希菌等病原体感染宿主细胞过程中糖链参与的分子机制,开发具有抗菌、抗病毒活性的高分子材料。3、微生物来源药用活性多糖的筛选与分子修饰。
