曾作为项目主持人,获得并完成两项国家自然科学基金面上课题,方向均为使用脑神经科学技术研究汉字信息加工,发表SCI论文多篇。同国内学术界合作密切,曾任北京师范大学国家“985”平台客座教授,现兼汕头大学医学院正教授和博士生导师、华南师范大学特聘校外博导。2005至2010年曾任汕头大学医学院广东省分子影像实验室副主任。
