北京市园林学校隶属于北京市公园管理中心，是为北京市园林行业培养中等职业技术人才的惟一的一所省部级重点学校。该校始建于20世纪50年代。建校50多年来，为首都园林事业的发展培养了近万名专业技术人才和管理型人才，现已初步形成中等教育与高等教育、学历教育与非学历教育、职业教育与职业培训相结合的多层次、多渠道办学模式。目前，学校占地面积197亩，建筑面积37320平方米；在岗教职工110人，其中专任教师67人，具有高级职称的13人，中级职称的24人，初级职称的14人；在校生3363名，其中全日制普通中专学生1907人，成人电大大专、本科学生1456人。

北京市园林学校始建于二十世纪五十年代，是隶属于北京市公园管理中心的一所国家级重点中等专业学校。该校一校两址。本校位于房山区良乡卫星城，分校位于崇文区天坛路。总计占地面积近80000㎡，建筑面积20000余㎡；拥有现代化教学设施、设备、实训基地；环境优美的校园和一支具有丰富教学经验的高素质教师队伍。

学校根据行业和社会的需求，经过多年努力，逐步形成了中专、大专、本科并举，学历教育与非学历教育培训并举，职前教育与在职培训并举，校内办学与校外办学并举的多渠道、多层次、多形式、多功能的办学模式。

在普通中专开设了园林、旅游服务与管理、物业管理、野生动植物保护等四个专业。其中，园林专业是学校的骨干特色专业，设置有园林花卉、园林规划设计与施工、园林植物保护、风景名胜区建设与管理、草坪营造、园林管理等专业化；旅游服务与管理、物业管理、野生动植物保护等专业分别设置了中文导游、社区物业管理和野生动物饲养专业方向。目前，在校生1900余人。

此外，学校创办了北京电大园林局工作站和北京市园林教育培训中心。北京电大园林局工作站开设园艺学专业大专学历及园林专业本科学历教育。目前，大专、本科在校学生近2000人。北京市园林教育培训中心，已为社会培训鉴定总计近15000人次。

北京市园林学校50多年来，为首都绿化事业的建设与与发展培养了大量高素质的一线劳动者和管理人才，他们现在已成为园林行业的骨干力量，为首都的绿化事业做出了重要贡献。

2004年，该校在市委、市政府、市公园管理中心的大力支持下，投资6500万元，在房山区良乡镇建成新校，并于同年9月正式起用。新校舍的落成使前进中的园林学校如虎添翼，在2008奥运来临之际，该校全体教职员工本着“需求为先，质量为本”的办学宗旨，以市场为导向，研讨课程体系改革，把“基础宽、技能强、适应广”作为学生培养目标。在稳步提高教育教学质量的同时，不断扩大办学规模，逐步提升办学层次，积极为首都城市园林化的快速发展，培养优秀合格的专业人才。

2005年，学校将从外延建设转向内涵建设，严格内部管理，把提高教学质量放在更加突出的位置上来抓，不断增强为园林事业蓬勃发展提供人才、技术服务的能力。

Beijing Landscape Architecture School

Founded in the 1950s, Beijing Landscape Architecture School, which is subordinate to Beijing Gardening Bureau, is the provincial key technical secondary school. The campus is located in the satellite town of Liangxiang, Fangshan District and covers total area of nearly 80000 square meters with construction area of more than 2000 square meters. The school possesses a beautiful campus, a complete and modern set of facilities for teaching and experiment and practice bases. It has a faculty with good quality and rich experience in teaching and scientific research.

For many years, the school in accordance with the need of the industry and society has been forming its own school-running pattern of co-existing education of technical secondary school, junior college and undergraduate, formal or informal, before or after work, in or out of school education with multi-channels, multi-levels, multi-forms and multi-functions.

Now the technical secondary school offers four majors such as Landscape Architecture, Tourism Service and Management, Estate Management and Wild Animal and Plant Conservation. Among all of them Landscape Architecture with its distinguishing feature is the backbone major of the school. It consists of specialization in Floral Business, Landscape Architecture and Construction, Plant Protection, Construction and Management of Scenic Spots and Turf Construction. Tourism Service and Management, Estate Management and Wild Animal and Plant Conservation respectively offer specialization in Tour Guide in Chinese, Community Estate Management and Wild Animal Raising. Now the school has more than 1900 students.

Besides, the school built up Landscape Architecture College of Beijing TV and Broadcast University and Beijing Landscape Architecture Educational and Training Center. The college offers Horticulture of junior college education and Landscape Architecture of undergraduate education. At present, it has nearly 2000 students enrolled in junior college education and undergraduate education. Beijing Landscape Architecture Educational and Training Center has totally trained and appraised nearly 15000 person-time.

More than 50 years, BLAS has cultivated a great deal of qualified labors and talent managers for the construction and development of capital’s gardening and afforesting enterprises.
