Gilbert综合征

本病的发病机制尚不清楚，似乎与肝脏摄取胆红素功能多方面障碍有关。而且病人血胆红素通常波动在2~5mg/dl（34~86μmol/L）范围内，在禁食和其他应激情况下则明显增高。此外，这种病人的葡萄糖醛酸转移酶活性较低，所以该病很可能与十分罕见的Ⅱ型Crigler-Najjar综合征有关。虽然在许多病人红细胞寿命轻度缩短，但不足以成为高胆红素血症的原因。

Gilbert综合征时，肝功能试验正常，尿胆红素缺乏并出现特有的胆红素类型，因此很易与肝炎区别。此外病人缺乏贫血及网织红细胞增加的表现，可借此与溶血相鉴别。这种病人的肝脏无异常的组织学改变，所以无须作活检，要病人放心，告知他们并未患肝病。
