先后主持和完成国家973计划项目、国家科技支撑计划项目课题、国家自然科学基金项目、中国科学院知识创新工程重点项目等20余项。发表论文280余篇,SCI检索论文100余篇,主编专著10部,申报国家专利8项。成果获国家科技进步二等奖3项,新疆科技进步一等奖4项(排名第一)。
入选首批国家级“新世纪百千万人才工程”(2004年),先后荣获中国科学院方树泉青年科学家奖(1997年),新疆维吾尔自治区有突出贡献的优秀专家(1997-2001年、2002-2006年和2007-2011年),新疆维吾尔治区先进工作者(2000年),全国“五一”劳动奖(2004年),新疆科技进步特等奖(2007年),何梁何利基金科学与技术创新奖(2009年),全国优秀科技工作者(2010年),享受国务院颁发的政府特殊津贴。
